Set of 6 silver ombré faded Dorothy Thorpe Style MCM Roly poly Glasses | mad men barware glasses
Fantastic 1960's vintage Dorothy Thorpe style roly poly glasses. These six Mad Men style glasses have wide bands of silver ombre or fade around the upper 2/3 of the glass. The silver has a fauna theme print in a silver sparkle accent. The bottom of the glasses are heavy rounded and slightly indented which makes it hard to tip them over. The silver is in good condition, with extremely minor wear. There are a couple of areas where the silver sparkle is missing; it is all kind of subtle unless you really look at them. And couple of the glasses have some extra rough spots at the bottom which is probably a manufacturing flaw where the hot liquid glass sparkles spilled. There are bubbles in the glass which is perfectly normal but I thought I would note it for you. These are vintage and have been used so there is minor vintage wear. I included many photos so that you could see how minor these things are but wanted to note them for you. No chips or cracks in the glass, only a few minor scratches from wear.The glasses hold 8 ounces when filled to the brim, but would probably work better with 6 oz or 7 oz beverages. Dorothy Thorpe inspired style, and right out of Don Draper's office.
