Forget me not | 1950s drop waist dress
Vintage early 1950s navy dress features a fitted bodice with princess seams, dolman sleeves, drop waist and very full flowy skirt. Round neckline and to-the-elbow length sleeves trimmed with navy and white acrylic blend resembling wool. Six silver flower engraved buttons down the center front. Fabric has a beautiful sheen to it and I believe the dress may be made from satin backed shantung fabric.
Drop waist is accentuated with a stand up trim which buttons in the back. Slight color variations with the trim fabric in the back and the silver button is different from the front buttons. I doubt anyone would notice. Center back metal zipper.
Please allow extra room for comfortable fit and ease of movement. Item is laid flat, measurements are taken and then doubled for bust, waist and upper hips. When in doubt, measure a garment that is comfortable and compare the measurements to this item.
