Matin, Midi, Solr | 1940s novelty print day dress
Love, love, love this 1940s novelty print day dress from Lucky Star of New York! Nothing quite as special as a New York design! It has the time of a day depicted in the print. Matin, Midi, Solr which is french for morning, noon and night. The print is white and chartuese on a light muted brown cotton background. It has a sophisticated shirt dress style. Buttons up the front, short sleeves that are capped and trimmed with a white pipping. A white trimmed pipped yoke is added for that touch of sophistication. The design is further enhanced with large dark coffee coloured buttons that run down the length of the dress. The skirt is a nice full a-line cut with a gently structure waist and belt loops. There are shoulder pads which need to be replaced as they are deteriorating. The dress is freshly hand washed.
The dress shown on a modern size 6-8 mannequin.
Note: the black belt was added for styling and is not included!
