1970s Butte Knit all-in-one black bodice with check plaid skirt | size medium
This vintage 1970s all-in-one Butte Knit dress features a contrasting black long sleeve ribbed bodice with mock turtleneck attached to an a-line check plaid skirt. Mary Tyler Moore would have loved this dress! The design makes for a perfect work/day dress that will certainly turn heads! Skirt includes two front flapped pockets and two inverted pleats that fall from the bottom of the pocket. Long center back zipper. Wide faux black patent original belt. Skirt falls just below the knee. Butte Knit was a division of the Jonathan Logan Corporation. It was the first company to produce doubleknit fabric in the US. The Butte Knit factory was unique in that it was a vertical factory -- the entire process from the spinning of the yarn to the finished garment was produced in one place. This dress also includes an Original Desl-L Con-tur Stik-Aid inside the mock collar to ensure it stands upright. It can easily be removed if desired (it sticks to the fabric but can be easily removed).
