Sensuality of the Orient | 1960s/1970s dark blue Chinese brocade Kimono | medium - large
This is a gorgeous, authentic Chinese brocade kimono robe dating to the 1960s/1970s. This is quite unique as it is Made in Hong Kong and styled in the traditional tomesode style. The tomesode (square arms) style was more commonly used in Japanese kimonos. This robe is deadstock, never worn. It still has its original belt made with the same brocade tacked on the side. I have left it untouched and took the photos without undoing the belt. It is in excellent condition. It is a lovely hue of dark blue and is the perfect subtle backdrop to the scenes of houses, huts, boats, trees and flowers in a rainbow of different colours.
Displayed on a size 6-8 mannequin - due to the design of the kimono it would suit a larger frame. I am happy to answer any questions you might have.
You can use it for lounging around on a lazy Sunday morning, at the cottage or meeting friends for coffee, you could even dress it up for date night.
